U Undertakes studies of musicology and classical singing at the Conservatory of Music in Geneva, Switzerland. From 1993, works as stage manager and assistant director in the Grand Théâtre de Genève with stage directors like Robert Lepage, Daniel Schmid, Robert Carsen, Benno Besson and Francesca Zambello. In 1995 moves to Barcelona, ??Spain to study  film  direction at the Centre d'Estudis Cinematogràfic de Catalunya. He writes and directs several short films, including "Iraila" wich has its premiere at Cinema Verdi Park Barcelona. In 2000 he directs the play "Torrijas de Cerdo" at the Teatro Llantiol Barcelona. In 2001 he works as assistant director in  the movie "Amahl and the Night Visitors" directed by Francesca Zambello for the BBC. In 2002, he directs the play "Gaviotas Subterráneas" for the Theatre Can Felipa and the following season in the Sala Beckett, one of the most important contemporary theater in Spain. From 2003, he works as assistant director at the Opera National de Paris (Bastille) in operas such as "Guillaume Tell" staged by Francesca Zambello, "Le Nozze di Figaro" staged by Giorgio Strehler, "Die Fledermaus" staged by Coline Serreau, "Peter Grimes" staged by Graham Vick,  ?Capriccio" staged by Robert Carsen (Palais Garnier) among others. In Paris as well, at the Théâtre du Châtelet, in "La Grande Duchesse de Gerolstein" directed by Laurent  Pelly. In 2005 he was invited to work at the new Opera house  Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia in Valencia as Production Coordinator and Head of the Stage where he collaborates in productions such as "Carmen", "Turandot" and "Parsifal," with Carlos Saura, Chen Kaige and Werner Herzog, respectively. In the 2007-2008 season he directs the revival of the opera "Madama Butterfly" and in 2009, "Turandot" with Lorin Maazel as musical director. He directs Placido Domingo as Siegmund ("Die Walküre") in La Fura dels Baus production, with Zubin Mehta conducting and broadcasted live from Valencia to several cities in Europe. In 2009, he directs "Turandot" in A Coruña, Spain, and in November of the same year the same production in Monte Carlo. For the openning of the 2009-2010 season of the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía, he collaborates with La Fura dels Baus in "Les Troyens" under the baton of Valery Gergiev. In 2010, he directs the opera "Yerma" by Heitor Villa-Lobos at the XIV Festival Amazonas of Opera in Manaus. In 2011 and 2012 he directs the revivals of ?Die Walküre and ?Siegfried? for the Teatro de la Maestranza, Sevilla in La Fura dels Baus production, ?Tosca? with musical direction of Plácido Domingo and Giancarlo del Monaco?s production ?La vida breve? in Valencia. He directs also the production of ?Opérame? with Spanish tenor José Manuel Zapata and musicians of Berklee College of Music and a new production of ?Tristan und Isolde? with Zubin Mehta for the V Festival del Mediterrani Palau de les Arts in Valencia.

In addition to his operatic activities worldwide, he also collaborates with the "Centre de Perfeccionament Placido Domingo" in Valencia.

Projects: ?Carmen? (Set designer and Stage Director) in Rio de Janeiro. Revivals of ?Opérame? in Bilbao, ?Turandot? in Valencia with Zubin Mehta in 2014. ?Lucia di Lammermoor? in Lima Peru in 2015.
